There are two opportunities to speak with Signs editors at the upcoming NWSA conference, Negotiating Points of Encounter.
At the workshop “Academic Publishing in Women’s Studies: Journals,” Signs editor in chief Mary Hawkesworth will join editors of other top women’s studies journals–Gail Cohee of Feminist Teacher, Sandra Soto of Feminist Formations, and Ashwini Tambe of Feminist Studies–to offer practical advice for publishing in feminist journals and share insights about the editorial and peer review processes. The session is on Saturday, November 9, from 12:55-2:10 in room 206 of the Duke Energy Convention Center.
On Saturday morning, from 9 to 11, join Signs deputy editor Andrew Mazzaschi and acquisitions coordinator Laura Lovin for an informal chat about the publishing process at the University of Chicago’s booth in the exhibition hall (booth 310). Breakfast snacks will be served.
Remember also that NWSA members receive a discount on individual subscriptions to Signs and that all individual subscribers to Signs are entitled to download full issues as e-book editions.
